Don Curry

Don Curry is the K-12 special consultant for the Public Lands Institute. He formerly served as founding member and president of the Board of Governors of Nevada Virtual Academy, a charter school with approximately 3,200 students. Don retired from Clark County School District, where he was a biology and chemistry teacher and department head at Silverado and Valley high schools in Las Vegas. He is an award-winning science teacher, earning recognition from the Region 9 Environmental Protection Agency, Milken Foundation, and Christa McAuliffe Fellowship among others. Don has a bachelor’s degree in Biology and a master’s degree in Educational Administration, both from the University of North Texas in Denton.
