Dr. Joanna Jezierska is the director of the Multicultural Programs. She has been with the Nevada System of Higher Education for almost 10 years, working both at the College of Southern Nevada (CSN) and at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas (UNLV). Her academic interests include pedagogy, higher education policies, comparative and international education systems, developmental theories, learning objectives, and psychology. After completing her Ph.D. in Educational Leadership from UNLV in 2009, Dr. Jezierska worked as an advising and retention specialist at CSN. She held the position of interim director of CSN’s Tutorial Services before later accepting the position of director of the Multicultural Program at UNLV. In her native city of Warsaw, Poland, she earned a bachelor of arts degree in International Business and Foreign Languages and a master’s in pedagogy from the Pedagogical University Jane Kochanowski in Kielce, Poland. As an avid gardener, Jezierska loves to spend time outdoors with her four cats and German Rottweiler. She also enjoys reading, walking, and sailing.
