Community2Campus administers several scholarships earmarked especially for UNLV re-entry students returning to higher education after an extended interruption in education due to family commitments, military service, finances, or other reasons.
Community2Campus works in concert with the Adult Learner Advisory Board to evaluate applications for scholarships and select recipients for the awards. The scholarships range between $500 to $5000, annually.
Scholarships and Eligibility Requirements
There are specific scholarship eligibility requirements indicated for each scholarship. The scholarships listed are made available by the generous support of various donors. To apply for a specific Re-entry Scholarship, students must meet all of the scholarship requirements. Applicants for all scholarships must be formally admitted to UNLV as a degree seeking student to be considered for an award.
The application process opens on February 1st of each year. To apply, complete the scholarship application and compose a single-spaced, one-page, personal statement addressing the following points (submissions over one page will be disqualified):
- How would a re-entry scholarship help you achieve your personal, academic, and professional goals?
- What circumstances led to your interruption in pursuing a higher education, and how did you overcome those obstacles?
Submit the completed application and personal statement to firstname.lastname@example.org before the designated scholarship deadline date.
The deadline for submitting application materials for each academic year is the second Friday in April by 11:59 pm.
Application results will be emailed to all applicants in early June.
