INTERNET INTELLIGENCE GATHERING –
How to Find, Evaluate and Manage Internet Derived Information
Register for this class

A MINI CERTIFICATE
The need for timely tactical and strategic information cuts across community, business and government activities. This three-day workshop enables a participant employed in any of these sectors to determine what information is needed and then how to rapidly locate the information they seek. The program also helps users understand the types of information available via Internet and provides tools and techniques to find, evaluate, and manage that information. An emphasis is placed on setting up free automated services to automatically receive specific items of information. When users obtain larger amounts of relevant information they must develop a framework for managing that information. David Vine's process (Plan, Retrieve, Organize, Analyze and Communicate) provides the basic structure of this three day program. Prior to the program participants will receive a CD-ROM containing books, manuals and reports relating to intelligence gathering and production from the government and military sectors. A recommended reading list also is provided.
