Computer Classes and Programs

The Division of Educational Outreach offers several computer and technology related courses for business professionals as well as casual home users. The computer courses fall under two distinct categories, "Home Computing" and "Professional Computing".

Home Computing courses are non-credit geared toward mostly beginners who are brand new and not familiar with the basic concepts and fundamentals of working with a personal computer. These courses are stepping stones to further computer classes and will make students more comfortable with using a computer. Home Computing courses can not be applied towards any of the professional computer certificate programs that are offered in this department.

Professional Computing courses are courses that can be applied toward our certificate programs and offer Continuing Education Units (CEUs) with the successful completion of each of these courses. These professional courses are geared towards business professionals who are improving their own skill sets that can benefit their work productivity and careers, or for those people that are changing career directions and need to develop the necessary knowledge and skills to start a new profession in this industry.
