Improving the performance of people will improve the performance of any bank in meeting the challenges of today’s business environment and keeping pace with the rapid changes occurring in the industry.  Using American Institute of Banking (AIB) curriculum, this UNLV Certificate program will provide you with quality professional development opportunities.  Whether you are just beginning a career in banking or want to improve your skills and knowledge for that next higher job, this program can help you achieve your goals.  Instructors from the banking community facilitate the learning experience, which focuses on practical applications.

Courses are applicable to the AIB Diplomas or a UNLV Certificate, but you must complete a minimum of two courses through UNLV to receive the UNLV Certificate.  If you have AIB credits, it is your responsibility to provide UNLV Educational Outreach with proof of completion and the courses must be the equivalent CEUs.

The program consists of four required courses and two electives.  Several courses will be offered each term (fall, spring and summer) with each required class offered at least twice a year and electives less often.  Continuing Education Units (CEUs) will be awarded upon successful completion of each class with the UNLV Certificate awarded when all requirements have been satisfied.

The short one-day seminar/workshops will further enhance your understanding of specific banking issues and trends.  While not applicable to the AIB diploma and the UNLV Banking Certificate, these training sessions do award CEUs and provide you with current information and skills.
